February 5th, Press Release from the citizen groups against NYRI:
Communities Against Regional Interconnect Connect with New York City Officials

Statement by NY Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, October 25, 2007

"Today a federal district court judge dismissed a lawsuit by New York Regional Interconnect challenging a state law that protects home owners from the use of eminent domain by private transmission companies. The judge's decision is a win for home owners in Central New York and across the state. As Attorney General, I will continue to fight for New York's right to make decisions on projects like NYRI based on our state's environmental and energy needs, not on the desires of private companies or the federal government."
